Belton Lake Fishing Report 6/27/2011

Belton Lake is a little over 4 foot low and dropping about 1 inch a day. Water temp is in the low 80's. Temple Lake Park flats have been a great place to find White bass and Hybrid's. Jigging spoons in white or chrome are working good. Early and late there has been some spotty top water action. Bass fishing is getting tuff, some early top water actions in the creeks, then it is time to concentrate on points 15 to 30 foot deep. I prefer a C-rig for these fish but, T-rig, shaky head jigs and heavy football jigs will also work. Good luck and remember to stay hydrated in the heat.
